The event is timed and you will receive a personalised bib if you enter before 6 June.
LIGHT THE NIGHT COMPETITION
We are looking for the brightest family! Put on your brightest clothing and strap on your headlamp and any lights you can lay your hands on to be into win! You will need to display your outfit on the start line five minutes before your race start. The prizes will be 4 Black Diamond Headlamps valued at over $400. The lucky team will be announced as they cross the finish line. Make sure you share your pic on our Facebook page.

5km event – Headlamp.
11km event – Headlamp and long sleeved thermal top.
21km event – Headlamp, long sleeved thermal top and rain jacket.
CUT OFF TIMES
Cut offs apply to the 21km event only. There will be a cut off at the 16km mark at 9:00pm and a final cut off at 10:00pm. People who do not make the cut off times will be given a ride back to the event base.
The main Aid Stations will be located in the Craters of the Moon carpark which is at the 5km mark of the the 11km event and 14km mark of the 21km event. This aid station will have water, Tailwind electrolyte drink, coke, chips and lollies.
There will also be aid stations at the 4km and 11km of the 21km, which will only have water and Tailwind.
For environmental reasons, there will be no cups provided by the event so you will either need to refill your Camelbak bladder or bring your own cup.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
The Wairakei Resort will have a great range of food and drinks for sale for the duration of the event. The bar will be open from 3:30pm and the food will be available from 6:30pm.

NO Pets are allowed at Wairakei Restort or on course.
All product prizes will be awarded at registration. To be eligible you must enter before 1 June 2019. All competitions are run through our Facebook page
The winning male and female in the 21km and 11km will receive a trophy.
We do not have medals for this event. The Possum is a unique night trail running experience and is all about personal achievement, rather than external rewards.
There is no prize giving function.
REFUNDS/ TRANSFERS/CATEGORY/ENTRY CHANGES
No transfer of entry is allowed.
If you withdraw from the event up until 31 May, then you will be given a refund, minus a $20 administration fee.
No refunds are given after 31 May.
You may change categories up until the event. Changes before 31 May are free of charge. Category changes after 31 May will cost $10 fee.
The Possum event may be run on an alternative course if the planned courses are not able to be use on race day.
