Kids Greening Taupo works with young people and teachers in Taupō, using the work of Greening Taupo as a real life learning context. We aim to connect young people to their local environment, while increasing biodiversity, and teaching about conservation through hands-on restoration work.

Kids Greening Taupō works with local schools and kindergartens to plan, plant and maintain their own native restoration site. We hold community events, support teachers, provide free environmental education resources, and have extra-curricular student leadership teams.

We love working with The Possum event, as it encourages families to get outdoors together, even in the dark at the coldest time of year, to connect with our local environment.
