A hot feature of the 12km and 21km course is the 2km lap of the Craters of the Moon Geothermal Walk. The running surface is hard packed trail or board walk so you can keep up a really good pace.

Every year we are blown away by the amazing costumes and outfits that are on display! This year we have some fantastic prizes on offer for the brightest and the best from our amazing event partners.

Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023 caused major devastation around NZ and to Craters MTB Park.  But from this fire comes a Phoenix in the form of new trails built by the trail wizards Bike Taupo.
